NT Health Research
NT Health Overview
NT Health is composed of the Department of Health, Central Australia Health Service and Top End Health Service.
Embedding Research is central to the achievement of NT Health’s goals and strategic objections. Staff in NT Health conduct research in a range of capacities and in partnership with a range of organisations:
- to develop innovation in clinical care;
- as part of standard work;
- on specifically identified research projects;
- as students; and
- as staff at participating sites for clinical trials.
Researchers, staff or students may seek permission to conduct research in the Department of Health, using data from NT Health collections, within the Health Services, or using data from health service collections.
Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) approval and Research Governance Authorisation is required for all research conducted by NT Health Staff, and researchers wishing to conduct studies at NT Health Sites, or involving NT Health employees or clients and data.
