Registrar positions are available at both Royal Darwin Hospital and Alice Springs Hospital.

Positions: Alice Springs Hospital

Alice Springs Hospital has an active education programme with a new lecture theatre in the new medical education building. 

Alice Springs Hospital is accredited for diploma and specialist training by:

  • RACP (adults and paediatrics on rotation)

  • RACS (on rotation)

Others have done training towards Addiction Medicine, Public Health, Retrieval and Palliative Care here. 

Local services are supplemented by a large number of visiting specialists and a small number of patients are transferred out for problems requiring high level tertiary services. The hospital provides a unique exposure to Indigenous medicine, as the majority of patients are Indigenous Australians.
