Pathways for Aboriginal Allied Health Students
There are multiple pathways for Aboriginal allied health students to be employed in the NT Health workforce after they finish their studies. NT Health supported pathways available are:
- NT Health offers the NT Health Aboriginal Scholarship scheme for first year undergraduate students. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students can receive up $5000 to assist with their studies for an undergraduate health degree.
- The Aboriginal Cadetship Program, is a program funded by the Department of Health to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to complete higher education studies, provides vacation employment and aims to increase employment as health professionals.
