Northern Territory Cancer Registry

Release of data from the Northern Territory Cancer Registry (NTCR) is governed by the NT Cancer (Registration) Act 2009, the NT Information Act 2002 and Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988.

Use the NTCR data release flowchart below and data item list XLSX (34.7 KB) to assist in preparing your request.

Data requests can be grouped into 3 broad categories:

• aggregate data i.e. the data are presented in summary or statistical format
• unit record data i.e. each row contains details about a single person or case of cancer
• personal cancer information about yourself or someone else.

Note: Some data published by the NTCR is already available through the publications section.
