Consider having a PCR test if you:

  • are a close contact who can't access a RAT
  • have had negative RATs but still have symptoms
  • have recently returned from overseas and develop symptoms within 7 days of arriving in Australia.

You can book a COVID-19 test through private providers including your local GP, the Palmerston GP Super Clinic or Western Diagnostic Pathology.

Frontline healthcare and aged care workers who are required to have a PCR test can book online. The general community is not able to book through this system.

You will receive your result via an automated text message.
