Managing Syphilis Training for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workforce are vital partners in the journey toward syphilis elimination.
Join us to expand your knowledge of syphilis management and learn alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders and peers from across the NT.
When
Training will be held in Mparntwe (Alice Springs).

- 9am to 4pm

Program details
- Day 1. Introduction to understanding syphilis, health promotion and community-focused approaches.
- Day 2. Interpreting syphilis serology and building practical skills, including point-of-care testing.

Understanding Syphilis Workshop for all clinical staff
All staff in clinical roles are invited to attend a full‑day training session focused on syphilis awareness, treatment, prevention and community screening initiatives.
The Rheumatic Heart Disease team will be joining us to deliver training on pain‑minimisation techniques for administering benzathine penicillin long‑acting Bicillin (LAB) injections.
