Let’s talk health
We want to hear from you about your experiences and your ideas for improving health care delivery in the NT.
There are several ways to engage with NT Health. Please look at the options below and choose the one that suits you best.
Have Your Say
This is an NT Government-wide platform for engaging with the community about how public services are delivered. NT Health wants to hear any ideas or suggestions you may have for improving the delivery of health care in the NT.
For more information, go to the Have Your Say website.
Feedback, complaints and compliments
If you have accessed public health services, we welcome feedback on your experience. Tell us what worked well and what didn’t. You can ask for a response to your feedback or remain anonymous.
You can submit your feedback using this online form.
Get engaged as a consumer representative
There are more formalised ways for you to engage with NT Health. Consumer representatives may be individuals or representatives of specific community/consumer organisations (for example, disability support services) or special interest groups (for example, carer support group). The role of a consumer representative includes:
- advocate on behalf of the community, consumers and/or carers
- provide direction and leadership in relation to the inclusion of consumer, community or carers views into the activity for which the committee is undertaking, and
- protect the views of consumers, the community and carers.
Regional Consumer Engagement Groups
These are advisory bodies that provide an avenue for consumers, carers and communities to present a consumer perspective on the provision of health services in their local region. You don’t need any special skills or knowledge to be on one of these committees.
For more information, read community groups.
Friends of NT Health
This program allows you to have a say in how health services are delivered in the Territory. It is also a way for you to take part in activities to improve the safety and quality of health care; these include focus groups, workshops or forums or committees. You can join Friends of NT Health if you're a user or potential user of health services – this includes patients, family members or carers.
For more information on the program, go to the Northern Territory Government website.
