Service providers and standards
The non-government sector is integral to the delivery of services to support people with a disability, their families and carers in the NT.
The non-government sector is funded by the Office of Disability to provide:
- information and Advocacy Services
- accommodation support
- in-home accommodation support
- supported accommodation, including group homes
- community Access Support, including day options
- respite (planned).
The Service Development unit coordinates NT Government grants and funding for disability service providers and monitors services standards.
Quality and service standards
Disability service providers are guided by the Northern Territory Disability Services Standards and the National Standards.
Organisations funded by the Office of Disability to provide disability services must meets these standards.
