Training and education for nurses and midwives

Ultrasound for remote area midwives

Midwives employed in remote areas of the Northern Territory can take part in a specialist ultrasound workshop.

The three-day Ultrasound for Remote Area Midwives workshop is a collaboration between Integrated Maternity Services and the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM).

The workshop builds capacity for provision of early dating scans in the community and counts towards the Certificate for Allied Health Performed Ultrasound (CAHPU).

To apply

The Office of the Chief Nursing Officer is seeking expressions of interest from remote-area midwives to take part in the workshop. You will then be notified when they are held.

To express interest in attending a future workshop, fill in the online expression of interest form.
