Immunisation: health professionals

About giving vaccines (AGV) course

From 1 January 2017 the Northern Territory (NT) About Giving Vaccine Course will no longer be available.

Registered nurses, midwives and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practitioners who need to complete immunisation training are advised to complete the South Australian (SA) online course titled 'Understanding Vaccines and National Immunisation Program' or another approved interstate course.

NT Upskilling Course

Vaccine providers who have completed a recognised vaccination course or upskilling course in the last three years are required to complete NT AGV Upskilling Course at least every three years.

The Northern Territory About Giving Vaccine (NT AGV) Upskilling Course is now available online via the Remote Area Health Corps (RAHC) eLearning Portal.

Students should first register an account on the RAHC site

Once you have completed your registration you will receive an email with a link to register a password. Please note that, as this is an automatically generated email, it can get picked up by spam filters so please check your spam/junk mail folder.

Once you have registered your password with your RAHC account on the RAHC eLearning site, or if you already have a RAHC account, please email to provide the email address you have used for your RAHC account.

The NT AGV upskilling course will be enabled in your RAHC eLearning account within 2 working days.
