Talking up about health and happiness survey

Northern Territory Health is urging all young Top End and Central Australian people to help improve youth services in the Territory by taking part in a key new survey.

The aim of the survey is to hear from 15-24 year olds, who currently make up 15% of the NT population, to make sure their voices are included the development of the NT Government’s child and adolescent health and wellbeing strategic plan

Territorians enjoy a unique and vibrant lifestyle with many young people involved in competitive sports and volunteer work. Young people are an important part of the community but many are falling through the gaps.

This survey will help to inform the work currently underway to develop a Child and Adolescent Health Plan.

The plan will boost the services available to young people and create an integrated approach across relevant government sectors, including health, housing and education.

Whether still in school, or studying, or employed, or spending their time in other ways, young people’s views are important.
