New “Yellow Book” Health Record launched
The new NT Child Health Record – more commonly known as the Yellow Book, was launched on Wednesday 31 January at the Nylander Clinic in Parap.
This new Yellow Book will be rolled out through Northern Territory Birthing Hospitals to all Territory babies born from 1 February 2018.
It forms a critical communication tool between health services and parents or carers and acts as a permanent record of a child’s growth and development from birth to five years.
The first years of life are a critical developmental period, and families have the greatest influence during that time.
The new Yellow Book includes:
- space to record vaccinations and consultations
- results for each stage of development
- tips for helping your baby or child grow at each stage of development
- helpful links for further information.
